Mandatory counselling for foreign job aspirants in Tanahun

DAMAULI, JANUARY 7

Foreign employment aspirants in Tanahun are mandatorily required to receive counselling service.

According to sources, the mandatory counselling provision has been brought into operation keeping in view the increasing complaints of fraud in the name of foreign employment. A separate room has been designated at the district administration office for counselling.

“Counselling service is provided for the welfare of foreign job aspirants. Anyone who gets passport will have to get mandatory counselling service before receiving the document,” said Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral.

Immigration Resource Centre Damauli, Tanahun, has been providing assistance for counselling service that started last month.

According to the resource centre’s counsellor Goma Tiwari, counselling is being provided to 30 to 35 persons on a daily basis.

“As it’s good to go abroad after receiving some training, we provide free training facility to youths who intend to go abroad for work,” Tiwari said.

Ajaya Sunar of Suklagandaki Municipality said he had decided to go abroad after he found it difficult to get a job here.
