Manisha's post-mortem report Sunday, beau to undergo lie-detection test

KATHMANDU: Police said they expect to receive the report of post-mortem examination of Manisha Gharti Magar, who was found dead in a suspicious condition in her house in Bardaghat, Nawalparasi three days ago, on Sunday.

Her body was brought to the Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for autopsy.

According to Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Chaudhari at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, a polygraph test (lie-detection test) will be conducted on the 17-year-old girl's boyfriend, Rudra Narayan Chaudhary (22) tomorrow, Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported.

The 22-year-old was detained after Manisha, the sister of Nepal national football team's striker, was found dead on Thursday. Police suspected she was murdered.

The District Court remanded him in seven-day custody for investigation into Manisha's suspicious death.

Chaudhari, however, told police he did not murder her.
