A Maoist cadre was arrested while he was collecting donations at Rayapur VDC on Thursday morning. Nathu Prasad Yadav was nabbed in possession of arms when he was allegedly collecting Rs 1,000 and 25 kg of rice from each household in the VDC. In a press statement, coordinator of the Rupandehi district Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum, Mahendra Yadav, said villagers and MJF cadres nabbed Nathu Prasad and handed him over to the Marchbar Area Police Office. A homemade pistol and 10 bullets were confiscated from him, the release said. The Rupandehi district police office confirmed that Nathu Prasad Yadav is in police custody.
