Maoist-Marxist nuptial a done deal
Kathmandu:
CPN-Maoist and CPN-Marxist are set to unite. The two parties finalised a unity deal on Sunday. “As we have settled all ideological and technical aspects, the unification would be announced shortly,” general secretary of the CPN-Marxist Ved Jung Bajhangi Simha later told The Himalayan Times. “Ongoing talks between the Maoists and a couple of leftist parties were delaying the formal announcement,” Simha said.
Unity talks between the Maoists and fringe left parties — CPN-Unity Centre and CPN-Unified — have protracted.
