TAPLEJUNG: A UCPN-Maoist worker was shot dead and another seriously injured in a gang fight in Kokche Bazaar, Taplejung on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Lal Dhoj Limbu, village committee secretary of Maoists. Likewise, YCL cadre Lokesh Limbu was also injured in the incident and taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Science Hospital, Dharan.

According to the police, investigation into the incident is underway.
