Kapilvastu: Fulika VDC (Kapilvastu) unit chairperson of the Nepali Congress Chinku Yashi has said that “the Maoists have been torturing” him mentally and physically pressurising him to quit the party.

Talking to mediapersons in the presence of NC vice-president Sushil Koirala at Taulihawa on Sunday, Yashi said that the Maoist cadres beat him two days ago for no reason. Yashi said the Maoists tortured him four months ago.

NC Kapilvastu president Sudhakar Pandey said he would talk about the matter to the Maoist leadership in the district.
