Maoists against CA poll:NC leader KC

Nuwakot, July 22:

Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narsingh KC today said that the Maoists do not want the CA poll held. He was speaking after unveiling a weekly newspaper “Nuwakot ko Pukar” on the occasion of BP Koirala Day in a function in Bidur.

The Maoists are continuing their anarchy just to foil the CA poll, KC said. He added :”Had they wished for the CA poll, they would have changed their political style.” Noting that the Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League cadres were pursuing anti-poll activities, he urged the Maoists to stop their anarchy in the hilly districts and the Terai so that a result-oriented poll could be held.

He said that the Maoists are continuing to extort, abduct and intimidate and urged them to stop their illegal activities and seek pardon for the same.

He pointed out that the Nepali Congress being a democratic party had never attacked others, adding that the party’s stance should not be misinterpreted as weakness.
