Maoists destroy public offices

Maoist terrorists destroyed the office buildings of Piple Village Development Committee (VDC) and postal office located near the district headquarter, Myanglung through setting fire on and inside the buildings.

Gyannath Khatri said that they might have come in large numbers at night and set the fire after dousing it with kerosene. According to him, entire documents, furniture, physical instruments had been completely burnt by the fire.

Destruction of letters, documents, files, including furniture and other physical equipments at postal offices had been damaged in the fire. People living in the surrounding area are frightened and daily visitors are facing difficulties. The smoke has been bellowing still from Friday. Maoist terrorists have destroyed 16 VDC offices of the districts up to date.
