An office-bearer of the Kakarvitta drinking water consumers’ and sanitation committee has accused the Maoists of hindering the election of office-bearers of the committee.

Head of the committee, Dilli Prasad Pokhrel, said the Maoists had warned yesterday to halt the election of the committee. According to him, Maoists’ Mechinagar secretary Roshan told over phone to stop the election of the office-bearers. According to him, the Maoist secretary warned of dire consequences if the Kakarvitta drinking water consumers’ and sanitation committee did not stop the election.
