Dhading, April 16:

The CPN-Maoist is the frontrunner in vote counting under the PR system in Dhading-3. According to the office of the election officer, final result showed that the Maoists secured the highest number of votes — 23,212 votes. Dhading has three constituencies and the election office has announced the results in two constituencies. Repolling will be held in four VDCs in constituency no 1 on April 19. Vote-counting is going on in Dhading-3.

In Nawalparasi, all major parties, including the NC, CPN-Maoist, MJF and TMDP, except the CPN-UML, have secured at least one seat in the CA under the FPTP system. While NC candidates were elected from Constituency No 1 and 2, Maoists from Constituency No 3 and 4, MJF from Constituency No 5 and the TMDP from Constituency No 6. NC candidate Dr Sashanka Koirala won in Nawalparasi-1. Another NC candidate Mahendra Dhoj GC was won in Nawalparasi 2. Maoist Sita Poudel won in Nawalparasi 3. Maoist Chinak Kurmi was elected from Nawalparasi 4. MJF candidate Rambachan Yadav won in Constituency No 5.
