GORKHA: Farmers affiliated to the Nepal Farmers Organisation of UCPN-Maoist robbed a farmer of paddy in Mirkot VDC on Tuesday afternoon. The miscreants took away five muris of paddy cultivated in three ropanis of land belonging to Janga Bahadur Kumal, a resident of Lamagara in Mirkot VDC 5. Kumal alleged district vice-president of the organisation Min Bahadur Baniya led the miscreants. Baniya said, “We seized the paddy when Kumal ignored our plea not to plant paddy on public land.” UCPN-M district secretary Prakash said Kumal has no right to cultivate paddy on public land.
