CPN-Maoist affiliated All Nepal Industrial Workers’ Organisation (ANIWO) today padlocked the Udaypur Cement Factory, accusing the management of not fulfilling their 22-point demands.

Though all the administrative works were halted after the padlock, sales and distribution of

cement of the factory continued, the factory administration said.

According to ANIWO’s district secretary Chakra Bahadur Karki, their 22-point-demands include purchasing high quality raw materials for the factory, transparency, holding committee

for repairing the factory and providing Rs 1,500 per month to the workers who have not got residential facility in the factory premises. Karki said they padlocked the industry to pressure the administration.
