Maoists to blame for should peace runs off the track: Oli
DHULIKHEL: KP Sharma Oli, senior UML leader and a standing committee member, on Thursday singled out the UCPN-Maoist as the hinderance in constitution-making and peace building process.
He said that the Maoists under the pretence of agitation, civilian supremacy and president's move were creating obstacles for the constitution-making and peace process.
He was speaking at a function organised in Kavre's Banepa today.
"Beyond any doubt, the UCPN-Maoist is eyeing for the government in the guise of agitation even as no party supported them," he said, lambasting the former rebels.
He said that it was not the president who had committed any unconstitutional move but said it was the UCPN-Maoist which committed such a foly being in the government.
Oli also said that the Maoists were trying to reign as absolute power by not listening to other parties which he said had landed them on hot bed.
He also lauded the role played by the President saying that the move had helped stopped the Moists from doing unconstitutional, amoral and apolitical tasks.
He, however, made clear that no political parties had the plan of isolating the Maoists. "But the party has isolated itself," he said, ruling out any splintering in his party.
