ILAM: District Administration Office Ilam has intensified market monitoring in view of black marketing in the run up to the festivities in the district.

A monitoring team led by Assistant Chief District Officer Sujan Phago, including police personnel, tax payers’ service officials and DHO officials destroyed different date expired items including drinks, noodles and others after monitoring Biblyate bazaar, Nepaltar, Rakse and Rake bazaar. The team also advised shops to return cigarettes to the dealer as they contained only 75 per cent statutory warning label.

The team warned the traders not to hike prices of daily essentials unilaterally in the run up to the festivals.
