DOLPA:  A health post at Tripurakot in Tripurakot VDC of Dolpa district has started its first maternity services.

Even though the health post was constructed quite long ago, it could not provide services due to the lack of equipment and skilled health workers.

“We are ready to provide services as we have skilled health workers and have all the necessary equipment to carry out the tasks now," Ananta Chaudhary, in-charge of the health post, said.

The health post started its services from Sunday with a successful childbirth.

Many women had died in the past in the remote area due to lack of maternity services.
