MC wins two Municipalities in Bardiya district

GULARIYA: The CPN-Maoist Centre candidates have been elected as mayor and deputy mayor of two municipalities in the district, as RSS reported.

MC's candidates have won the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts of Bardiya Municipality in the district.

The MC candidate Durga Bahadur Tharu won the mayoral post as he received 1, 1042 votes while his closest rival UML's Ram Bahadur Tharu mustered 8,645 votes.

MC's Anju Dahit has been elected to the post of the deputy mayor as she bagged 11,011 votes, while her nearest rival UML's Pushpa Oli received 8,695 votes.

The CPN-Maoist Centre candidates won the posts of mayor and deputy mayor of Madhuban Municipality in the district.

The MC candidate Krishna KC garnered 8,431 votes to his closest rival UML's Durga Bahadur Oli's 5,923 votes.

Meanwhile, MC's Subarani Tharu was elected as deputy mayor of the Municipality.

She bagged 7,523 votes, while her nearest rival UML's Hira Kumari Chaudhary got 5,942 votes.
