‘Medical education bill will be passed’

Dhankuta, July 23

Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet today said that the Nepali Congress and Dr Govinda KC would have to discard unnecessary obstinacy as the medical education bill would be presented in the Parliament at any cost.

Speaking at a press meet organised in Dhankuta today, Minister Basnet held that the bill was yet to be approved due to the irresponsible role of the main opposition.

“The opposition is afraid of the decision of the Nepal Communist Party and has supported Dr KC,” he added.

Minister Basnet said that not only the medical education bill, but the entire education sector, economic reforms and society change bills would be approved in the Parliament.

He asked the Nepali Congress to sit for talk to institutionalise the past achievements.

Minister Basnet said that the party, government and people have to walk together to change the country.

“The fundamental rights of the people will be strengthened within some months,” he said.

The forest and environment minister said that the government was now busy implementing the budget, to make laws, among others.
