Bharatpur, November 12:

The Underground Water Irrigation Project, Bharatpur, organised a seminar on the implementation of underground shallow tube-well irrigation programme here yesterday.

The programme was organised with a view to enhancing coordination among farmers, financial institutions, the Department of Agriculture, Department of Irrigation and the Electricity Authority, to install shallow tube-wells.

Inaugurating the two-day seminar, Jiva Lal Shrestha, the deputy director-general of the Department of Irrigation, said the goal can be achieved if there is a good coordination among the stakeholders.
