Meeting necessary to take on national responsibility: Dahal

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has spoken in response to the opinions and curiosity expressed by party leaders on the political proposal presented in the party's standing committee.

Different issues including government’s achievements, party’s activities, decisions taken by the party secretariat and party unification have been incorporated in the report.

NCP (NCP) leader Beduram Bhusal was quoted in Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying that party Co-chair Dahal expressed his opinion that discussion held in the meeting was necessary for maintaining internal unity needed for taking on the national responsibility.

In the meeting held at NCP (NCP) party headquarters in Dhumrabarahi, Kathmandu today, Dahal opined that the party should set up a task force.

The party's co-chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said, the political report could be changed and forwarded for endorsement. PM Oli is scheduled to speak about the party report tomorrow.

The chairman duo Oli and Dahal had presented the political report on December 15, the first day of the meeting.

The meeting also offered condolence to the family of party member Yogendra Shah, of Janaknandani Rural Municipality, who passed away last night.

The standing committee will meet next at 3:00 pm tomorrow.
