CHITWAN: A person was injured after a rhino attacked him at Kumroj forest area in eastern Chitwan on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as a local Kumar Bahadur Tamang (53). Tamang was attacked by the rhino at the Kumroj Buffer Zone Community Forest at Khairhani-12, police said.

Tamang was collecting twigs, branches and dried leaves when the attack took place.

Tamang, who sustained injuries in the wild skirmish, is currently receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, informed DSP Deepak Shrestha of the Chitwan District Police Office.
