Migrant Nepalis to move Spain court
NEW DELHI: Raju Bhattarai, Convener of New Delhi-based South Asian Study Centre, will file a lawsuit in Spain on behalf of 28 Nepali immigrants who were forced to work extra hours but were denied rightful wages.
If the verdict goes in their favour, these migrants will be able to acquire work permit and residency in Spain, according to Bhattarai.
Barcelona-based law firm BC Iuris is fighting the legal battle on behalf of Nepali immigrants who were employed by a Barcelona-based packing company and subsequently dismissed.
