Migratory birds come to Tarai wetland to roost

Kapilvastu, October 12:

Migratory birds have started arriving at the Jagdishpur lake area, a famous wetland site located in Niglihawa VDC of Kapilvastu district.

Various species of birds can be seen in this marshland with the onset of the autumn season and the presence of birds has added to the beauty of the place, which is located 11 kilometres

north of Taulihawa, the district headquarters.

With the onset of the autumn, thousands of migratory birds flock to this place.

The lake, spread in an area of 157 hectares, is now teeming with birds of different species.

The presence of these birds, their chirping and movement around the place has made the

ambience of the area lively and full of life. Water fowls of various species can be seen sailing in the lake, listed on the list of world’s Ramsar sites.

The onet of autumn draws winged creatures to the water body.
