Mini truck-hit kills motorcyclist in Pokhara

POKHARA: A person died after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a mini truck in Bhandardhik of Pokhara Metropolis along the Prithvi highway on Tuesday evening.

Police identified the deceased as motorcyclist Shyam Gurung (27) of Khaltemasina in Pokhara-14 of Kaski district.

According to spokesperson at the Kaski District Police Office (DPO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindraman Gurung, the truck (Ga 1 Kha 3416) hit the motorcycle (Ga 13 Pa 2660) injuring its rider Gurung, at Aadarsha Chok yesterday.

Critically injured Gurung breathed his last on the way to a hospital, police informed.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the truck and detained its driver for further investigation, said the DPO.
