DHANUSHA, MARCH 31

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, today inspected the under-construction bridge over the Kamala River, directing the construction company to conclude the project by coming June.

He warned that the government would seek an alternative if the project missed June 30 deadline, expressing his dismay over the inconvenience to the people of Dhanusha and Siraha due to an unexpected delay in finishing the project.

The Minister also inspected the under-construction Postal Highway here, pledging to accelerate its implementation.

As he said, the Highway is considered as a lifeline for the Madhesh. He also monitored other ongoing road development projects in Aurahi and other parts of Dhanusha.

Though the bridge was completed after 10 years, it collapsed after a month of inauguration on July 3.
