Rajbiraj, September 15
Minister of Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav today urged all and sundry to support the government for bringing prosperity and good governance in the country.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Association Nepal Saptari Chapter in Rajbiraj, Minister Yadav stressed the need to develop industries in the country. He argued that country would not become prosperous by selling labour of youths in foreign land.
“The government is working to resume closed industries and provide jobs to the youths,” Yadav said.
Talking about the protest programme set to be organised by Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal on September 19, Minister Yadav said the protest programme should be peaceful. He said RJP-N should provide time to Prime Minister KP Oli to address their demands. Yadav also inspected Gajendranarayan Singh Industrial Area.
Meanwhile, speaking at a programme in Siraha, Minister Yadav said the private sector could play a key role in bringing prosperity in the country. He said that government would provide investment security to the private sector.
Minister Yadav said market had been deregulated due to lack of government’s presence. “Now, the government will show its presence in the market. Industrialists cannot loot and cheat the people by making mockery of the law”, he added.
At the programme, vice-chair Kishor Pradhan of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry said entrepreneurs and industrialists would play an important role in meeting the government’s goal of prosperity.
