Abducted kid found murdered, buried in wheat field
MAHOTTARI/ JANAKPURDHAM: The body of eight-year-old boy, who was abducted on December 10, was found buried in a wheat field in Yekdara -7 of Mahottari district on Monday night.
According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, security personnel discovered the body with the help of three suspects who were detained on Sunday in suspicion of their involvement in the abduction of Chiranjivi Mahaseth, son of Rabindra Mahaseth.
SP Janak Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Mahottari, a special search team deployed has arrested a total of eight people including a woman regarding their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and murder.
Bereaved father, Rabindra, said that his son was kidnapped at 7 last night following his argument with three people while he was collecting funds for an upcoming Mahabiri Jhanda Fair.
Rabindra immediately went in search of his as soon as he took notice of him missing. Anish Kumar Sah, one of three who had an argument with him earlier, told him about his missing son was already sent off to Bardibas. Even though he left for Bardibas to search for his son, he had to return empty handed.
Police said Rabindra handed Sah to them and filed a complaint this morning. Contradicting what Sah had informed, police said they found that the child was sent across the Indian border.
Based on the preliminary investigations, SP Bhattarai said the suspects kidnapped the boy last night with the help of Sah and was strangled to death.
The minor was kidnapped from Bhatauliya VDC-8 of the district on Sunday.
