KHOTANG: A three-year-old boy died and other sustained critical injuries after a gun kept at their house went off after it fell down from its place in Khotang district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Kaushal Rai, son of Ganga Rai, and injured as seven-year-old Rabin Rai of Nunthala -6 of the district.

Local residents said that Kaushal died on the spot while Rabin sustained injuries on his forehead.

Police said that condition of injured Rabin is out of danger.

DSP Bidyananda Majhi of the District Police Office, Khotang, said that the incident occured while the two brothers were playing.
