Minority group calls off strike
Biratnagar, October 18:
The Muslim community in the eastern region today called off the strike it had called to protest the blast in a mosque a few days ago. The strike was called off after the local administration agreed to meet their nine-point demand.
The Muslim community had called the agitation after the blast in Pothiya mosque in Hattimudha VDC-2 of Morang some two weeks ago.
Vehicles started to ply from this evening after the strike was called off. The local administration agreed to meet the demands put forth by the Muslim community during a joint meeting between the local administration and the representatives of the Muslim community.
The local administration agreed to arrest the accused in the blast and take appropriate legal action against them.
