KAPILVASTU: Five persons died and 10 were injured in three mishaps on Sunday. Three persons died when a bus hit their motorcycle in Khuddi VDC-7 of Kapilvastu along the East-West Highway on Sunday. The police identified the dead as Ramesh Khanal of Anandaban-1 of Rupandehi, Asmita Bhujel (20) of Syangja and her son Bishwo (5). In another incident, two persons died and one was injured when a bus and a van collided in Kawasoti along the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi. The police identified one of the dead as driver Aftab Alam (21) adding that the identity of the other was yet to be ascertained. Bibek Niraula (28) was injured in the incident. Meanwhile, nine persons were injured, three critically, when a bus met with an accident near Adhbahar on the Pathlaiya-Amlekhgunj road. Sikandar Raut and Chhati Sharma of Mahottari, and Dilip Kumar Gupta of Darbhanga were critically injured, police said.
