DHADING: A one-and-half-year-old child, who mysteriously disappeared from his bed on Sunday night, was found on the bank of a local river in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-3 in Dhading the following afternoon.

Police and locals suspected Buddhilal Chepang  was kidnapped but left on the bank of Sentikhola by the unknown kidnapper(s).

It takes half an hour to reach the site where he was found playing yesterday afternoon from the child's house.

After his reported disappearance, relatives, locals and police had promptly launched a search operation.

The child had hit the bed along with his parents and elder brother. But when they woke up, they found out that the boy was missing.

Police said they are looking into the case even after the boy was found.

To get to the village requires one and a half hour bus journey and an additional three-hour-walk from Malekhu, along the Prithivi Highway.
