KATHMANDU: A child died after being crushed by a tractor wheel in Dadar Bairiya-7 of Morang district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Nischal Kumar Raya (12), son of local Chandra Narayan Raya.

He was crushed by the wheel while he was getting off the vehicle.

According to police, the child had  started the vehicle while playing with it, but was unable to stop.

He then had decided to get off to escape any accident, but fell under the moving wheel, at around 7 am today.

Raya breathed his last on the way to a hospital, said the Rangeli Area Police Office, Morang.
