CPN(Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal said there was an increasing tendency among leaders and cadres of other parties of joining his party at present.

"The situation is in our favour. People from CPN- UML and other parties are leaving their parties and joining our party in a large numbers in recent days," said the CPN (US) chief, at a press conference in Dhangadi, Kailali, today.

Further, Nepal criticised CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and said his party was focused on the preparation for the upcoming local elections.

"We are doing our own preparations for the elections, and alongside there are also discussions regarding the possibility of contesting the election by forming an alliance," the ruling coalition leader said, expressing his confidence that there would be an alliance among the ruling coalition partners to the benefit of all.

At the conference today, Kanchanpur's Bedot Municipality Mayor and CPN- UML leader Ashok Kumar Chand joined CPN(US).

CPN (US) Chair Nepal welcomed Chand to the party. Chand was in the Nepal faction before Nepal decided to leave the party and formed his own party.

Speaking on the occasion, Chand lamented that he had to face injustice in the UML.
