GAUSHALA: More than 50 villages in eight municipalities and two rural municipalities of Mahottari district are at high risk of flood.

The settlements near the banks of Ratu, Maraha, Jangha, Bighi and Kutumeshwari rivers are at high risk of flood due to continuous rain for the last three days.

The rivers are swollen and their water level has been rapidly rising which has increased the risk of flooding.

In view of the incessant rainfall, chiefs of the local bodies in these areas have made people aware of the risks and have urged them to be prepared.
