Jhapa:

Maoist cadres on Monday padlocked two more VDCs in Jhapa. Earlier, they had padlocked three municipalities and 11 VDCs in the district. The VDCs padlocked today are Dharampur and Topgachhi.

They have already padlocked three municipalities — Bhadrapur, Damak and Mechinagar — and VDCs including Gauriganj, Khajurgachhi, Gauradaha, Korobari, Lakhanpur, Juropani, Maharanijhoda, Panchgachhi, Goldhap and Baigundhura. “The DAO (Jhapa) called an all-party meeting today. However, it ended inconclusively,” CDO Jaya Mukunda Khanal said.
