KALAIYA: A woman died and a 12-year-old boy was injured when lightning struck them at Batauliya village of Rampurba VDC in Bara district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Seema Chaudhary (35) of Batauliya.  Her  son Shiva Chaudhary sustained injury. They were working in the field when the lightning struck amidst a hailstorm.

Meanwhile, a cyclist was killed when a truck knocked his bicycle down at Gadhimai Municipality of Bara district last night. The deceased has been identified as Nunak Saha of Jeetpur-7.
