Motor Vehicles Agreement tabled in House
Kathmandu, January 19
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transportation today tabled the 'Motor vehicles agreement for the regulation of passenger, personal and cargo vehicular traffic between Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal' at the House meeting today.
The House meeting endorsed a proposal for considering Some Nepal Act Amendment Bill, 2016 tabled by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Agni Prasad Kharel.
The bill that will be put to vote after further discussion seeks to amend terminologies of more than 100 Acts to make them compatible with the new constitution.
“The ministry is also working on bringing other bills to change old laws and make new ones as per the provisions of the new constitution,” Minister Kharel told the House meeting replying to the queries of some lawmakers.
The House forwarded four bills related to employers provident fund, auditing, Nepal Rastra Bank and deposit and credit guarantee fund to the concerned House panels for further discussion.
