RATNANAGAR: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on rammed a truck in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 of Chitwan district, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Mahendra Dhakal (32) of Syangja district.

According to the District Police Office (DPO), Chitwan, the incident occurred when the truck (Na 6 Kha 9731) en route from Muglin to Kathmandu collided head-on with the motorcycle (Ba 77 Pa 4269) in Fisling injuring Dhakal yesterday.

The crictically injured Dhakal was rushed to the Bharatpur Hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed police.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the hospital for the postmortem.

Meanwhile, the Muglin-based Area Police Office has impounded the truck and detained its driver for further investigation into the incident, said the DPO.
