DAMAULI: A motorcyclist died in a bus-motorcycle collision in Seratar of Manpang-2 of Tanahun district along Damauli-Khairenitar road section of Prithvi Highway on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Basanta Shrestha (36) of the area.

According to District Police Office, Tanahun, the motorcyclist died when a bus (Ga 7 Pa 4000) hit his motorcycle (Ga 5 Kha 3378) while trying to overtake.

Shrestha breathed his last while receiving treatment at the Bel Chautara-based Seti Ganga Community Hospital.

Local people had obstructed the Highway demanding compensation to the victim's family and strong action against the wrong doers.

The bus driver is nabbed for the further investigation.
