JHAPA: A motorcyclist was killed when an unidentified vehicle hit him in Damak, Jhapa on Tuesday.

The vehicle rammed into the two-wheeler (Me 8 Pa 1193) in front of the Sagarmatha Fuel Station in Damak-10 along the East-West Highway, killing Rajan Kuinkel (35) of Urlabari-6, informed the Damak Area Police Office.

Kuninkel was heading towards his home when the vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle he was riding on, at around 9 pm yesterday. He had sustained serious injuries and died on the way to a hospital, police added.

The police have launched a search for the unidentified vehicle, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajan Limbu of the APO.
