According to the Gajuri-based Area Police Office, a motorcycle (with registration number Na 34 Pa 144) that the victim was riding on was hit by a Bolero jeep (with registration number Ba 12 Cha 9372) coming from the opposite direction at Benighat-1, Malekhu, killing him on the spot.

The victim has been identified as Ramesh Kumar Regmi of Ghyalchok, Gorkha district.

He was reportedly heading to his home district from Kathmandu when he met with the fatal accident this morning.

Police said the jeep and its driver have been impounded after the incident.
