BHOJPUR: A motorcyclist who was injured four days ago in a road accident in Bhokraha Rural Municipality-2 of Sunsari district, died on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Aarif Ansari.

The micro van (Ko 1 Cha 2910) en route from Prakashpur to Bhokraha hit the motorcycle (Ko 16 Pa 1245) injuring Ansari on Monday, according to police. He was riding two-wheeler in  a road section of the Rural Municipality.

The injured was rushed to the Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital. Later, he was referred to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where he breathed his last during the course of treatment last night, informed Police Post, Bhokraha.

Police have impounded the vehicle and the investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, the search is on for the driver who fled the scene after the incident, said police.
