KATHMANDU: A person died after the motorcycle he was riding on collided with another motorcycle in Sakhuwaprasauni Rural Municipality-5 of Parsa district on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as local Lakshmikant Kalwar (22).

According to police, the incident occurred when the motorcycle (Na 51 Pa 277) collided head-on with the other motorcycle (Na 40 Pa 3824) while trying to overtake a tractor (Na 1 Ta 8876) at 6:30 pm yesterday, critically injuring motorcyclist Kalwar.

Kalwar was rushed to the Birgunj Health Care Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 7:45 pm the same night during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, local police have impounded all three vehicles involved in the incidents and further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
