RAJBIRAJ: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on collided with a microbus along the East-West Highway in Siraha district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Kuseshwar Mahato of Golbazaar Municipality-4 in the district, police said.

According to the Dhangadhi-based Area Police Office, the incident occurred after the motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 1463) heading towards the east collided head-on with the microbus (Ba 4 Kha 693) injuring Mahato, in Dhangadhimai Municipality-9 last night.

Injured Mahato breathed his last while being rushed to a hospital in Biratnagar, police added.

Meanwhile, the four-wheeler has been impounded by the Golbazaar-based Area Police Office and its driver has been detained for the investigation.
