The landslide that occurred in Rubi Valley Rural Municipality-2 of in Dhading has claimed the life of one person while one person is still missing.
The duo were working on road construction while they were suddenly hit by mudslides on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Parajuli, 23, of Sindhupalchok district who was operating the excavator while the mudslides took place.
Similarly, the co-driver Jojo Tamanag, 20, of the Rubi Valley RM-5, has gone missing resultant to the incident, confirmed the District Police Office Dhading.
In course of the search operation, the excavator was found completely damaged along with Parajuli's dead body, stated the police.
Meanwhile, the search for missing Tamang is ongoing, police said.
