Mugu, September 4:

People in Gamgadhi have been facing an acute shortage of drinking water after

200 meters of supply pipeline was swept away by a landslide recently.

Residents in the district headquarters are compelled to walk for hours to fetch water. Hotels have been shut due to water crisis, said Mugu chairman of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Bishnu Bahadur Malla.

According to the District Health Office, number of patients suffering from different viral diseases has gone due to the use of contaminated water.
