Rajbiraj, July 7

The second municipal assembly of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, Saptari, concluded at the municipality office today.

The municipality had called the assembly as per the Local Government Operation Act 2074. As per the act, the municipality has to organise two assemblies a year. The assembly stressed the need to carry out development work.

Chief of District Coordination Committee Prabhakar Yadav inaugurated the second municipal assembly.

At the assembly, Mayor Sailesh Sah informed that acts passed by the first municipal assembly were being implemented.

“I am working for the development of entire municipality despite some challenges,” he said. He added that they needed full support and cooperation from all for the development of the municipality.

Similarly, Chief Administrative Officer Surendra Yadav presented the policies and programmes, along with  budget of 47.9 crore, of the municipality.
