TEHRATHUM: Myanglung Municipality in Tehrathum has announced to provide ambulance cost to pregnant women visiting the District Hospital to give birth.

Deputy Mayor Parbati Sanu Dangi said, the municipality has decided to bear the travel cost (as per bill) incurred while visiting the District Hospital in an ambulance by pregnant women.

Deputy Mayor Dangi added that the programme was unveiled to ensure safe maternity in the municipality.

The government has been providing Rs 2,000 to each woman as the travel cost for this purpose.
