Murder, rape, drug trafficking accused held

Baglung District Police Office today paraded three persons held on different charges. Those paraded were Masane Kami, 61, Patiman Sarki, 54, and Sudin Chhantyal, 18, of Baglung.

Kami from Bobang village of Dhorpatan Municipality was held for allegedly killing his elder brother and his wife, a week ago. “He has admitted his involvement in the murder,” said Baglung Police Chief SP Nawaraj Bhatta. Sarki of Baglung Municipality was arrested for raping a minor. “He had raped a 15-year-old girl of the same village. He also admitted to have sexually exploited the girl,” said the SP.

Chhantyal of Tarakhola Rural Municipality was arrested for his involvement in drug smuggling and abuse case.  Chhantyal was arrested with illegal drugs such as nufin, phenergan and diazepam.
