Itahari, June 21:

Following the arrest of two persons accused of attacking under-privileged Musahars and Jhangads by police in Majho village of Saterjhora-9 in Sunsari, members of the communities are getting death threats from the detained persons’ group.

A Majho local Ramanand Rishidev said that police had arrested Jay Krishna Goit and Rajaram Yadav but their armed gang members were blaming the villagers for the arrest and issuing death threats.

Another villager Shyam Chandra Oraon said, “After the attack on our village two days ago, we are living like refugees in Inaruwa. If the police don’t act fast, the gang can do anything to our village.”
