NAWALPARASI: The death of a 15-year-old girl from Danda area of Kawasoti-16 in Nawalparasi district has become more baffling despite the claim of suicide made by her family members.

The deceased Rabina Aryal was found hanging in her own room at home on Wednesday with a bleeding nose and bruises on her face.

The locals have accused Aryal's father Tulasi Aryal and stepmother of murdering and then hanging her.

They also staged a protest demanding a fair investigation into the case by police.

According to a local resident Sharmila Giri, the body of the deceased had been taken to the Bharatpur District Hospital for autopsy after primary health centres at Chormara and Damkauli areas refused to examine her body citing the suspicion hanging.

Her body was cremated on Friday after an autopsy. the deceased's father and the step mom for investigation.

Meanwhile, the deceased's parents are taken into police custody for the investigation.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Thapa at the Kawasoti-based Area Police Office said that the investigation is underway and further information would be disclosed once the postmortem report arrived.
